The short version: we collect what you put in the quote form plus a few details about how you found us. We share it with Nex-Gen LED LLC so a certified installer can respond to you. We don't sell your information, and we only text you if you say yes.

Who we are

KC Permanent Lights ("we," "us") is an independent website that helps Kansas City area homeowners and businesses compare permanent exterior lighting. It is run by an independent Kansas City homeowner, based in Missouri. When you request a quote, we pass your request to Nex-Gen LED LLC ("Nex-Gen"), a permanent lighting company with certified local installers, and we may receive a referral fee if you book.

What we collect

Information you give us

Your name, mobile phone number, email address (optional), city and whether the property is a home or business.
Whether you agreed to receive text messages, and the version of the consent wording you saw.
Anything you tell us when you text or call us, such as questions about your project.

Information collected automatically

How you found us: the page where you sent the form, the first page you visited, the website that referred you, and campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source). Your browser stores these on your device for up to 30 days so we can tell which pages lead to quote requests.
Basic device information: whether you used a phone or a computer, and the time you sent the form.
Server and security logs: our website host may record IP addresses and browser details to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use it

To respond to your quote request and answer your questions.
To pass your request to Nex-Gen so a certified installer can contact you, give you a quote and, if you choose, schedule your install.
To send text messages about your quote, only if you agreed. See our SMS Terms.
To keep track of which requests came through this site and confirm referrals with Nex-Gen.
To understand which pages are helpful and to block spam and abuse.

Who we share it with

Nex-Gen LED LLC, so its installers can respond to your request, provide service and tell us whether a referral was booked. Nex-Gen handles your information under its own privacy practices.
Service providers that run this site for us, such as our form and email provider (Google), our text messaging provider and our website host. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, our partners or us.

We do not sell your personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except Nex-Gen (named in the consent you give, to respond to your quote) and the providers that deliver text messages.

Text messages

We text you only if you check the consent box on our quote form or text us first. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Details are in our SMS Terms.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as needed to respond, track referrals and keep business records, generally up to 3 years, and then delete them.

Your choices

Texts: reply STOP to any message to stop texts from that number.
Your information: email us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We'll also ask Nex-Gen to act on deletion requests for information we sent them.
Browser storage: you can clear this site's stored data in your browser settings at any time.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as limiting who can see quote requests. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
